What is the Titan™ Laser?
The Titan™ laser is a cutting-edge piece of technology that helps tighten loose and saggy skin, particularly around the neck area. Loose neck skin can add years to an otherwise youthful person; undergoing this treatment can help revivify and rejuvenate one’s appearance.
How Does it Work?
This laser harnesses the power of light to tighten, strengthen, and revitalize the skin of the neck. Specifically, the Titan™ laser uses infrared light. This kind of light can disperse energy more universally than other skin tightening methods, particularly radiofrequency treatments.
Infrared light is directed at the neck, passing through the upper layers of the skin and penetrating deep into the dermis. Once this light hits the dermis, it triggers the production of a number of healing growth factors, one of these being collagen. Ample amounts of collagen within the skin translate into tighter, firmer, and younger looking skin on the neck. The Titan™ laser stimulates both immediate and long-term collagen production in this area with each additional treatment, giving you results that are both substantial and long lasting.
What Can I Expect from Treatment?
This treatment requires absolutely no anesthesia, has no risk of scarring, and is completely non-invasive. Because most patients find the procedure at least a little bit uncomfortable, the doctor can administer a topical numbing cream before treatment to decrease this discomfort. Each session can take between 15-60 minutes depending upon the extent of sagging in the neck area.
There is no downtime following treatment, but there are a few side common side effects. Most patients experience minor redness and swelling. Luckily, these symptoms usually subside within a few hours. While some small improvements can be seen after the first treatment, it usually takes six months for the full results to manifest themselves. It’s recommended that patients undergo 2-3 treatments to see the most dramatic changes.
